Dont be fooled by the fallacy of gold confiscation

E-mail

One of the ways telemarketers “trick” those without experience into buying over priced generic coins is to claim gold will be confiscated as it was in the USA and the UK under exchange controls. However, as with most lies this is based upon a partial truth.

Rare Coins have been immune from confiscation in the past, and it is certainly possible confiscation could happen again. As readers of our reports will know just because a coin is old does not make it rare, and for this reason we carefully select our targets.

So while we do believe gold confiscation will occur, the manner in which it occurs is open to debate, and certainly, not all gold will be treated equally.

To understand the arguments we point your attention to a great article over at SHTFplan.com, which brings together several arguments against confiscation, as well as ways that it could happen: yes we are looking at you ETF’s ; )
