Reversing a modern bank run.

Bank runs in the 21st century start with the press of a few keys on your computer. Thus is the luxury of technology; dozens of ones and zeros instantly appear hundreds or thousands of miles away.

That is what has happened in Greece, amongst others.

Since the start of the crisis, billons of euro's have been telegraphed out of the Greek (et al) banks at light speed.

Now that the crisis is over (ahem.) the Greek government "suggests" they bring the money back.

Per the Guardian:

Greece has implored its citizens to honour the agreement by repatriating cash whisked abroad during the crisis.

"Honour The Agreement"? I wonder what that means exactly?

With the zeal that the French and Germans, Brit's and Yanks bought stolen data to use against their citizens, I do not have much hope that the Swiss will protect their clients.

We will see, but we doubt any retrun of savings will be voluntary.
